We hope that overseas Chinese scientists will, on the one hand, give full play to their advantages in scientific research and industry, take the initiative to devote themselves to the cause of scientific and technological innovation in Shanghai, actively participate in international scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation, and jointly help realize the realization of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement; on the other hand, they should tell a good story of China, disseminate the voice of China, and convey China's determination and confidence in high-quality development to the international community, so that they can attract more overseas high-level scientific and technological talents to return to China. On the other hand, we will tell the Chinese story and disseminate the Chinese voice to convey China's determination and confidence in promoting high-quality development to the international community, attract more overseas high-level scientific and technological talents to return to China, and form a strong synergy for realizing the Chinese dream.

During the academic exchange session, Li Beicheng, a researcher at the Astrophysics Research Laboratory of the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Lu Xiao, General Manager of Shanghai Beioru Biomaterials Co., Ltd., delivered keynote speeches. Chinese scientists and overseas Chinese scientists attending the event shared their experiences and engaged in discussions on topics such as deepening the development of the international science and innovation center and enhancing services for overseas returning talents. “Hi-Talents π” is a series of events created by the Shanghai Research and Development Public Service Platform Management Center, under the guidance of the Municipal Science and Technology Commission, with the Shanghai Overseas Chinese Science and Technology Innovation Service Base as the carrier. It aims to bring together high-level scientific and technological talents among Chinese overseas professionals working in Shanghai. These events, including national situation inspections, salons, and thematic discussions, serve as a diverse platform for interdisciplinary and cross-domain communication and exchange among Chinese overseas scientists and returning overseas talents in Shanghai. The goal is to facilitate the exchange of innovative ideas, sharing of research achievements, communication of opinions and suggestions, and the sparking of intellectual collisions, all in support of the construction of Shanghai as an international hub for scientific and technological innovation.
